For over a decade, Colorbar has been a brand that has captured the cosmetic market for the youth in India. With the changing landscape and GenZ's growing dominance, the brand needed a refresh to resonate with their existing and new customer base. The brand was facing the issues of high drop-off rates and low user-engagement time.
What we did?
Adtomica conducted various workshops with Colorbar teams including eCommerce, marketing, sales and IT. Key stakeholders including the CEO were involved in ensuring the the website revamp is in sync with the companies vision for the future on cosmetic retail. Several designs were then tested across teams and consumers to come out with the most unique design and user-flow for the brand. Furthermore, a decision was made to migrate all systems to Shopify which enabled all teams to activate ecommerce initiatives without long turnarounds or involvement of the development team. The homepage was developed with features of personlaization that changes for each user as per their shopping behaviour and frequency. Various Shopify apps were integrated including loyalty tracking, chatbot, time based promos etc. to create a feature loaded online storefront.
Results
Adtomica's work with Colorbar yielded significant improvements in the brand's online performance:
User drop-off rates decreased by nearly 20% (from 90% to 70%) within the first three months and by 40% (from 90% to 50%) within the first six months.
Average user engagement time doubled (from 1 minute to 2 minutes) within the first six months.
These results demonstrate the success of the website revamp in creating a more engaging, user-friendly experience for Colorbar's customers. The brand is now better positioned to connect with its target audience and continue thriving in the competitive cosmetics market.
